Adidas Superstar is treated in striking finish

Following their first release this past September, a second installment of the Extra Butter x adidas zx flux“Vanguard” collection is now unveiled. Now reinterpreting the classic Rod Laver dubbed, “The Scholar” and iconic Stan Smith titled, “Wunderkind,” each distinctive makeup is inspired by a scholarly twist. The Laver inherits a Navy nubuck upper with miniature bees in embroidered Gold, as Red striped foxing runs through the tongue which evokes a private school uniform. In addition, two metallic crest pins signify merits in “Punctuality” and “Perfect Attendance,” to encapsulate its theme respectively. On the other hand, the Stan Smith flaunts a subtle and elegant composition with an emphasis on its overall construction. Flaunting a camel-colored wool upper, black leather heel tab, flat brass eyelets, butter soft leather lining, a bright red pull tab and multi-patterned insoles, the model is topped off by an Off-White rubber sole unit.

Just as the title describes, this latest iteration of the adidas originals zx flux is treated in a really striking finish. Showcased just yesterday, this additional up-close imagery better provides an idea of its overall build. Silver consists as the defining tone, which envelops the sneaker’s leather composition. Elsewhere, its distinctive shell toe component is treated in a mirror-like finish to subtly offset the eye-catching design. While it does seem spray painted, the shade is continued towards the midsole unit, while leaving the outsole in White for contrast. Additional White accents are applied on the tongue, heel tab, leather lining and laces. This iteration of the Superstar is currently available overseas.

James Harden has worked hard to be where he’s at today. When he got traded from the Thunder to the Rockets everyone knew he was a special player, but I doubt anyone predicted that he would become the legit superstar he is today. He’s now coming off his best season yet that almost ended with a regular season MVP award and a spot in the NBA Finals. Not bad right? If you thought things couldn’t get any better, they did. Harden recently signed a new sponsorship deal with adidas after Nike declined to match the $200 million deal that was on the table and both Harden and adidas couldn’t be more excited. adidas finally gets a big star to come aboard and James will get his own signature sneaker among other things with adidas gazelle sale. Harden was recently interviewed by ESPN’s Pablo S. Torre and he was asked about what his signature sneaker with adidas may look like. This is what he had to say: “WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU’VE SEEN ANYTHING NORMAL OR STANDARD FROM ME?” From the sound of it we can expect something out of the ordinary from Harden and adidas in the future. I have an idea that the sneaker will definitely use adidas’ Boost technology and that it will be a low-top, but we’ll have to wait and see.
