The Foracort 200 Inhaler is a combination drug used to treat asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It contains 200 mcg of Budesonide and 6 mcg of Formoterol. Formoterol is a long-acting bronchodilator that relaxes the muscles in the airways, making breathing easier, while Budesonide is a corticosteroid that decreases inflammation in the airways. When combined, they effectively manage symptoms like tightness in the chest, wheezing, and shortness of breath.
This inhaler is not appropriate for providing instant relief during an acute asthma attack and is usually prescribed for routine use. Follow your healthcare provider's instructions at all times. Dry mouth, coughing, and throat irritation are typical adverse effects. Rinse your mouth after usage to reduce adverse effects.
