The Astronauts, an independent studio with talent from People Can Fly whose previous credits included Gears of War: Judgment, has announced that its new game called The Vanishing of Ethan Carter will be available on PC via both Steam and Good Old Final Fantasy XIV games.In the game, Final Fantasy XIV players try to uncover a mystery surrounding Red Creek Valley where they'll take on the role of a detective looking for clues after a brutal murder. While it features a private detective and quite a few mental challenges, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is not an especially puzzle-ridden game, the studio says on its website. Our focus is on atmosphere, mood, and the essential humanity of our characters. Remember all those teasers BioWarewas dropping earlier this month? Well now we have confirmation that the studio's new game is in fact a 4-on-1 action RPG for PC calledShadow Realms.The game is being developed at BioWare Austin, and is expected to release on PC by the end of 2015. Unfortunately for console Final Fantasy XIV gamers, there was no mention as to whether or notShadow Realmswill ever be making its way to PS4 or Xbox One.As far as how the game plays,Shadow Realmsfeatures four-Final Fantasy XIV player cooperative gameplay, in which the group seeks to thwart the efforts of a Final Fantasy XIV player-controlled adversary, dubbed the Shadowlord.Despite the fact that this is a multiFinal Fantasy XIV player-focusedgame, Shadow Realmswill still have a deep and engrossing narrative that will be rolled out episodically.
