The Gazelle won¡¯t provide the stiffness of a racing flat like the Hagio, which I prefer for racing. I love both shoes, but would likely opt for the Hagio for speed on the track.

Interesting point about maintaining form, I¡¯ve just finished reading Dhar¡¯s book also and he makes some interesting observations about form. I find it fascinating that coaches in Kenya seem to spend little time worrying what their athletes are running in¡­ Because they all have fantastic form from running barefoot as kids! Hi Pete, got a question about sample shoes. I got a pair off Adidas from a friend at a runners store. It was my model and my size so I was quite happy, until I saw the sample tag on the inner lip.So my question is this; Are sample shoes as good as store-bought ones?
