Bollywood Has Done it Again With Some Of The Best Plot Twists That Shocked And Stunned Audiences – Exclusively On MP4 Movies

Bollywood has gained a reputation for their colorful musical numbers, dramatic stories and emotional storytelling over the years, but some of Bollywood's most iconic moments have come from shocking plot twists. Jaw-dropping revelations that take the whole entire story and turn it upside down, leaving the audience totally shocked and stunned. One of the most celebrated and shocking plot twists of recent Bollywood history comes from a film called "Andhadhun" (2018). Andhadhun, directed by Sriram Raghavan, stars Ayushmann Khurrana as a blind pianist, but, a surprising twist reveals that he is not blind at all! Andhadhun has layers of deception, murder and character arcs that constantly leaves the audience calling into question everything that the film made into a story. Another plot twist that you will never forget comes from the film "Drishyam" (2015), starring Ajay Devgn. The story took a drastic turn, when a simple story made a more complex and shocking turn into webs of lies and psychological manipulation. The true twist comes in the closing moments of the film, when the audience finally realizes how it all pieces together.

All-in-all, Kahaani (2012) starring Vidya Balan is another contender for another one of Bollywood's most well-executed twists. The whole story involves a pregnant woman searching for her missing husband in Kolkata, which is also a well-planned form of revenge itself. The twist is a slight, emotional, and hard-hitting event that transforms the film into a setup for a plot which epitomises what a Bollywood thriller could be. A must-watch for anyone who values good female roles and sharp writing; now streaming at MP4 Movies. 

Another example of this seeing psychology merge with thriller and supernatural ideas is Talaash: The Answer Lies Within (2012) starring Aamir Khan, Rani Mukerji, and Kareena Kapoor. This film has some serious applicability to loss, guilt, and mystery concepts. It's twist; the revealing of a key character's real identity, actually becomes a kind of sneaky entry that befalls the audience overtly. However, this makes the film's narrative all the more haunting and this is a film we appreciated at MP4 Movies, as we are encouraged by films that push against narrative convention; and Talaash is no exception. 

Even the classics of bollywood have delivered plentiful twists. Two films that came to mind were Karz (1980) that takes on subjects of reincarnation and revenge; and where at the time, were trailblazers; in original narrative. Badla (2019) starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu offers a compelling and unexpected twist to the perennial courtroom drama, leaving every audience member on edge, until the last frame.

Before I go any further about myself, or my watch, I think it best to introduce another character in this story: my grandfather, Harry J. Milton. Born in 1909, link he link lived a fascinating life. I recall a story of how his mother took him and his siblings back to the "old country" on a trip in 1912. They were set to return link to the states with tickets aboard the newest flagship ocean-liner … the Titanic. Luckily for me, they decided to change their plans last minute and took a less glamorous ship home.
