When was your wedding?4th July 2009How and when did you meet?I first met my husband when he used to work with my brother.How old are you both?27Where, when and how did he (or you!) propose?He proposed while we were on our first holiday together in Turkey.Did you have hen and stag celebrations? If so, what did you do?Yes we did, I went on a spa weekend with the girlies and he went to Newquay on a sea fishing weekend!How did your groom help with the wedding planning?Yes very much so, we talked about everything. He helped with preparations the day before such as making sure the church was all ready, set up the reception with us and collected all the suits.Did you use confetti to plan your wedding? If so, how did the website help you?Yes I did, I bought all our decorations for the reception from the website.Did you buy any confetti products for your wedding? If so, did you visit a store, buy online or by mail order?I ordered everything off Confetti, we had a pink butterfly themeTell us about your outfit, and where you bought itI bought my dress from Shropshire Country Brides, in Shropshire. It was by the designers Essense and was ivory, strapless, satin with beautiful beaded detail and long train, laced up the back. It made me feel gorgeous.Did you have bridesmaids? If so, who did you choose and what did they wear?Yes, I had four adult bridesmaids all in teal coloured floor length strapless dresses by the designer Kelsey Rose.Who did your groom choose for his best man and ushers, and what did they wear?My groom, ushers, best men and fathers of the bride and groom wore silver grey morning suits, with the same colour cravats and handkerchiefs.Did you have a civil or religious ceremony?Religious ceremonyWhere did you hold your ceremony?Christchurch Little Drayton, Market Drayton, Shropshire.Where did you hold your reception?The Macdonald Hill Valley Golf and Country Club, Whitchurch, Shropshire.Did you have any special wedding transport?Yes two black and white Daimler LaunduletsHow many guests did you invite to your wedding, and did you have a separate evening guest list?We had 80 guests in the day, and a total of 120 at night.Did your reception have a particular theme in terms of colour or style?Pink butterflies. How did you incorporate this in to your table settings?I had ivory favour boxes and ordered personalised ribbon from confetti with our names on and the wedding date, for our guests to keep. I had ivory satin place cards and a butterfly punch that I punched out a butterfly in each place card, I had pink bubbles, pink heart metallic confetti and silver disposable cameras for the guests to use.Did you give your guests favours?Yes they had miniature chocolates in their favour boxesDescribe your flowers (bouquets and table decorations). Who was your florist?On the tables we had tall vases, one per table and a single stem of the pink stargazer lilies in them with grass out of the vases and butterflies on wire in the top of the vases! they looked stunning. My flowers and the bridesmaids were done by a florist, we had pink roses, lilac freesias, cream roses and grass from of my bouquet. Hand tied with ribbon round the stems, I had diamante pins in the heads of the pink roses.What did you choose to have on your menu? Did you have an outside caterer or did your venue handle the catering?We had melon to start, then roast beef and lemon tart for dessert.What did you choose for your wedding cake, and who made it?We had the cake made by a friend of the family, it was three tiers with one fruit, one sponge and one chocolate trimmed with teal ribbon and silver butterfliesDid you have any entertainment during the day or evening?We had a pianist playing during the day and a DJ and my uncle has a band so he played for us at night.Did you have a gift list? If so, who did you have your list with?No we didn't as we already live together.Where did you spend your first night and honeymoon? Who did you book your honeymoon with?We had a complimentary stay at the hotel on our wedding night, our honeymoon was at a friends villa in Spain.What was your most memorable moment of the day?All of it was beautiful... I would do it all again!Did you experience any nightmare moments in the run up to your wedding or on the day?yes, plenty!!!Is there anything you would do differently, or any advice you would give to other brides?I had a folder with every invoice in plastic wallets and letters from all our suppliers, before we got married I photocopied all these to give to our wedding co-ordinator on the day, so that if anything didn't arrive.. they could phone them for us. Keep a diary, be firm, don't let anyone take over!!!!
