"Helping The World DISCOVER THE WAY of LOVE!"

Hi, I'm coach Morgan. And today we are going to talk about triathlon clothing and gear. The proper clothing and gear can effect your performance, your comfort, and your enjoyment of the day. So it's really important to get it right for your big race. So one of the most important pieces of equipment you can have in triathlon moncler outlet store is your transition bag. This is what you are going to put all your stuff in for race day. Helmets, shoes, apparel, sunscreen, you name it it should fit in here. For your swim the number one essential of course is your goggles. Now when we are looking at goggles it's really important that you try them before you buy them. You should take the goggles out of the case and actually put them against your eye sockets before purchasing. If they suction it's a good fit. If they don't suction try another pair. Now a lot of races require swim caps. They will usually give you a latex swim cap for your race. If you find latex swim caps to be uncomfortable you do have the option to purchase a silicone swim cap to wear under your latex swim cap. Silicone will tend to grip your hair less and be generally more comfortable. Now if you are doing an open water swim in cooler weather or with cooler water temperatures the race might be wet suit legal. In which case you would want to investigate open water wet suits. Now these are different than dive wet suits because they're made to help you float not sink. Just a note, when moncler outlet you are putting on your wet suit make sure you use some sort of body lube to help put it on and take it off. This will prevent chaffing and make it a lot easier on your T1 to slide out of that wet suit then if you just put it on dry. Now ideally for your triathlon you'll want to wear the moncler outlet online same thing the whole time. It's going to shave time in your transitions and it's also going to shave stress. Because putting on clothes when your body is wet can be a little bit challenging at times. So we recommend the basic tri suit. Tri suits are going to tend to have minimum padding in the chamois area. And they are going to be something that's going to dry very quickly and fit snug to your skin for the swim. So ideally you should be able to comfortably and efficiently wear this suit throughout the duration of the race. Now on the bike the first and most important piece of equipment is of course your helmet. It's required by USA Triathlon that you have a safe helmet with no cracks in it. A standard road helmet like this one is going to have a little bit more ventilation and it's much more compact shape then a standard time trial helmet which will usually have a long tail in the back intended to make the rider more aerodynamic. We recommend a clipless triathlon shoe for the bike. This is going to be a bike shoe that only has one or two straps so it's easy to get in and out on race day. It will usually be heavily ventilated and meant to be worn without socks. And onto the run. Most triathletes will pick some kind of a sockless running shoe. This is one that is made to be worn without socks. And will usually come with some kind of elastics on the shoe for easy entry. The last piece of equipment I'm going to talk about today and also I think one of the more essential ones is the race belt. The race belt will be used to hold your race number that you have to wear during the run. You'll attach the number either by toggles or clips on the belt. And then when you are ready to start your run all you have to do is unclip the belt and reclip it around your waist. And you are good to go. Hopefully this intro to gear gives you what you need to get started on your road to triathlons. Best of luck.
