"Helping The World DISCOVER THE WAY of LOVE!"
On September 13, 2009 the Washington Post Terry Sawchuk Kids Jersey ran an article entitled, "NFL Aims to Reach China Through Unusual Channel." The article explains that in its desire to convert Chinese people into football fans, the NFL recognized that the Chinese did not have an inherent interest in football. However, the Chinese do have an interest in American culture. Consequently, rather than trying to sell the Chinese on the sport itself, the NFL is seeking to make more fans by linking football to culture. "It's cool and American to watch football."
A couple of questions emerge http://www.officialredwingsteamstore.com/Womens_Youth_Ted_Lindsay_J... from the NFL's efforts.
First, why would the NFL have any desire to convert Chinese people who know nothing about American football into football fans? Perhaps the answer is obvious. There are more than a billion people who live in China. If the Chinese start watching Paul Martin Kids Jersey football the NFL stands to reap great profits in the form of additional television revenue and licensing fees earned from selling NFL merchandise, such as jerseys.
Second, why do the Chinese have an interest in American culture? The answer to this question is far more complicated. In fact, to be honest, I simply don't know the answer. However, American businesses have long cashed in on the fact that American culture is perceived as "cool." McDonald's that all-American restaurant can be found on many corners throughout Europe and Asia. Despite the fact that many people across the world think that Americans are rude and to be stayed away from, American culture remains popular.
An important lesson can be http://www.officialsharksteamshop.com/Womens_Youth_Patrick_Marleau_... learned from the efforts of the NFL. As we enter the Second Decade of the Twenty First Century, it's imperative that we, the people living in the United States, recognize that we can no longer afford to dismiss non-Americans as unimportant. Instead, we need to consider the ways in which international relations can benefit our own needs and desires. Like the NFL, we can start with the appeal of our culture.
