No, it's not, for, scriptures are presented in symbolised format, they're not intended to be taken literally, for, scripture doesn't spell out its hidden meaning -- we must seek this wisdom for ourselves. As reading scripture alone doesn't infuse experiential Truth into consciousness -- meaning, intellectual knowledge alone doesn't alter the state of the soul -- individual effort, through one of the various meditational disciplines, is required.

Non-experiencing of soul consciousness -- biblical Light -- is the single scourge of humanity on the planet today. Although decoding of scripture's wisdom is vital in gaining spiritual understanding and guidance, a time comes when we need to put down the books for a period each day -- including the Bible -- and commence a practical home / closet-based application of scripture: that of knowing our own soul-nature directly. Here, daily meditation is the certain way of knowing such divine status -- coming upon our own indwelling Christ Presence thereby purely knowing our Truth essence. When we consider, that, the body is the end organ of the nervous system, which is the end organ of the mind, which is the end organ of God or, the Creator, it sure makes perfect sense the need to acknowledge and nourish the mind / heart daily as the gateway to our Christ Nature, Love, thereby establishing Heart-centred consciousness as our permanent state.
