"Helping The World DISCOVER THE WAY of LOVE!"
Google AdWords, is an unneeded luxury in internet marketing you can drive 90% of your desired traffic to your website without spending a dime. Anyone can become one, don't believe me, then just do a random search on Google and see for yourself. Don't miss out on the current new age gold rush. It struck me recently how similar Internet Marketing is to the Weight Loss industry when I tried to explain to a customer why they need to fork out their hard earned cash so that we can promote his website. In fact, trying to make a living as an Internet Marketer is even worse than trying to break into the Weight Loss The Bonus Busters industry, but let's look at the similarities first: The biggest problem with both Internet Marketing and Weight Loss is that you need to put in consistent, constant effort in order to see long term results. What is even worse is that you definitely do not see any difference in the short term. It is therefore very difficult to stay motivated. Am I doing the right things? Why am I expending all this effort (read 'cost', in the case of a client) and am not even seeing results? WHY am I not seeing any results? It is difficult to stay motivated (keep the client paying) in this scenario.
In fact, if I have to give any advice to anyone aspiring to succeed in the Internet Marketing field I would rather tell him to go and sell Weight Loss products. If you compare the number of competing results in Google for Internet Marketing with Weight Loss, there are over 300 000 000 results for Internet Marketing, and 'only' 23 Million for Weight Loss. But then, I don't really know much about weight loss, except that if you spend too much time on the Internet doing Internet Marketing you are certainly going to have learn about it fast! But the biggest problem is that everyone knows when they have a weight problem and they know more or less what to do to fix it. They also KNOW that losing weight is not easy. To persuade a client that they need to expend effort and cost on marketing their site on the Internet is often still very foreign territory. A client recently asked me why I am charging extra for Internet Marketing activities, when all the other website design proposals she received offered to insert her keywords in her website pages at no additional cost.

So you have thought about getting into online or internet marketing? How about things like email marketing? Well then you need to know what things are. You need to know what a website is, what a squeeze page or an opt-in page is. You even need to know what the difference is between a newsletter and an auto-responder. Now how about all the other terms that you hear, such as domain names, html codes, servers, content management systems and hosting. All these terms you need to at least have a basic understanding of. You may be questioning why you need to know all of these internet marketing terms, but the reason is very simple why you need to at least know what they mean. It will give you a better understanding of how to spend your time, what you really need to learn about and what you should just let someone else handle. You can for example get someone to take care of building the basics of your site and get a Content management system build into your site, for the same cost as just you would pay for hosting. That means that you can get rid of having to know anything about website design software, hosting, setting up emails and all that stuff. So basically you would be cutting the tech stuff you need to understand and be able to work with about 60%. Imagine the time that would save you?
What are the basic terms you need to know? Well you should know what an html code is, you do not have to know how to write them, just know what they are. (In most cases you can just copy and paste them.) You should know what affiliates and affiliate marketing is. Know what SEO, PPC and what the difference between a newsletter and an auto-responder is. It would also help if you knew the difference between types of websites, such as the difference between a directory, search engine, e-commerce, and squeeze page along with an informational site. They all serve a different purpose and need a slightly different approach when it comes to internet marketing.
