Trx For Sale Ryan, the middle class do not pay their fair share.

A serious plan

A shining star of the Republican Party has done the nation a service by outlining some of the tough choices that must be made about the nation's finances.

Trx Rip Trainer Paul Ryan, a congressman from Wisconsin, has gained fame among fans and notoriety among critics for his "Roadmap for America's Future."

The plan, according to the Economist, would slash Medicare and replace it with vouchers. This is part of his principle to put the individual more in charge of spending on health.

Ryan also would break the historic connection between employers and workers for health insurance. This began during World War II when wages were frozen. Thus, companies began providing benefits as replacements for wages. The problem is that in recent years health insurance increases have increasingly chewed up wage increases for the middle class.

Ryan's proposals would not change the Social Security system for those nearing retirement.

Trx Machine His ideas have been blasted by critics like New York Times columnist Paul Krugman as slashing benefits to the point that most Americans would not accept. He also says the Ryan plan would slash taxes for the rich while raising them for everyone else.

We do not need to buy all of Ryan's proposals to praise their boldness.

The problem is the status quo is everyone's favorite second priority.

The current fiscal path is unsustainable, Ryan wrote in a prepared text. The debt will overwhelm the budget, smother the economy, weaken America's competitiveness and threaten the survival of the government's major benefit programs.

Ryan highlights the point that Americans must decide if they want to become something close to a European welfare state.

As a nation, here is what we need:

A real budget. No more smoke and mirrors.

An emphasis on personal responsibility and choice within limited federal spending.

Government provides a safety net.

Trx Bands Ryan makes a constructive contribution to this debate.

I pay my fair share of taxes and I've worked for a living since I was 12 years old. I think you have an anger issue! My guess is either you watch too much FOX News and or listen to too much Rush Limbaugh. But I could be wrong you may just be angry because you are filled with hate. Hate is not a good thing to carry around. I was a hater once, thank God I gave it up. It uses up alot of energy to hate and you generally aren't a very pleasant person to be around when you are filled with hate. Sorry, back to the fact that us working middle class folks don't pay enough taxes in your opinion. That's your opinion and your entitled to it. I disagree, I pay my fair share and so do most people. By the way I didn't vote for Obama and I don't plan to vote for him in the next election. But I don't hate him either. Settle down and try not to hate so much. Believe me you will feel alot better when you give up the hate. I'll just agree to disagree with you and you have a wonderful day!

Trx For Sale Ryan, the middle class do not pay their fair share. The top 2% pay the lions share of the taxes in this country and right now, even the pidly amount the middle class pays is cut by the enormous number who are collecting unemployment. Thank Mr. Obama for that. He was far too busy doing all his social engineering, racial baiting and class warfare, health care reforms (not about health, care or reform but about redistribution), banking reform which will now leave the big boys in good shape and drive 500 small banks out of business, trying to unionize everyone no matter the method even if he had to remove the protections provided by the labor review board, and countless other things which will turn our country into a third world communist country. He couldn't be bothered doing his job which amounts to national security mostly and certainly doesn't include rewriting contract laws to favor his union buddies, picking winners and losers and regulating people until they can barely do anything without getting thrown in jail or fined. At least Ryan gave it a shot and although you don't apparently realize it, when we started out everyone was to pay the same rate (and yes 5% of what the middle class earn and 5% of what the top 5% earn is signifantly different and it is fair). The reason we are in the mess we are in is because Mr. Obama has tried his best for 2 years straight to make all of the middle class think they should enjoy a free ride cause all those evil rich people should pay for everything. The only problem is all those evil rich people are the ones who create the jobs the middle class enjoy having or did. I certainly would far rather be working than being a slave on the government plantation, wouldn't you? And all those awful evil people worked their butts off to get where they are. Try it, you might join them.
