Sewer line to be built through Sun City

The two lines will be connected at a point in the route, and a new 36 inch pipe will carry the waste to the treatment plant.The cost of the project is $14.9 million, to be paid from the district's general fund and revenue from future connections.The general contractor is Weka Inc. of Highland, which submitted a low bid of $10.7 million. The remaining $4.2 million will pay for design, surveying, inspection and geotechnical studies.The pipeline route will proceed down Valley Boulevard and across Murrieta Road. From there, it will follow Westridge Avenue, Bellwood Drive and cross Ridgemoor Road.It will also cross Sun City Boulevard and Cherry Hills Boulevard. From there, it will follow Northwood Drive and McCall Boulevard. The pipe will turn back north on Sun City Boulevard, and then on Barnett Road to Ethanac Road.
