Wedding couple defy the big freeze

 The big freeze did not prevent a Huddersfield couple from having a dream winter wedding at the venue of their choice.Sam Harding, 21, and Suzy Kaye, 27, tied the knot at the Pennine Manor Hotel, Scapegoat Hill, at a ceremony witnessed by family and friends.The couple had booked the hilltop venue in advance, but heavy snow this season blocked all access roads in the run up to the wedding.Staff at the hotel then stepped in to make sure the couple's big day went ahead smoothly. They hired a Scapegoat Hill farmer and his two tractors to clear the road leading to the hotel and the car park. Suzy, a housing benefit officer, told the Huddersfield Examiner: "We have always liked Pennine Manor and it's stunning location and we wanted a winter wedding and the staff are lovely and friendly.""We were a bit panicked when the bad weather struck."            She said arrived at the venue wearing a tracksuit so she would not ruin her wedding dress, adding: "We knew a few local farmers. Instead of coming up in a Rolls Royce we would have come up in a tractor! ""But the wedding went really well.
