Let's compare two auctions, both held by leading international house Christie's within 36 hours of each other. While all of the pieces are attractive examples of what happens when a well-researched concept meets the finest execution, I find the Lion De Darius to be the most successful of the four. The captivating color of the stone marquetry is unlike anything I've seen before on a watch. The engraved lion is so well-executed it appears to be in motion.I've worn my pink Baby-G swimming many times, and I always just forget it's there. The Zodiac, a higher quality watch, looked much better under the crystal clear blue green of the lake, and as I swam – breaststroke, because I couldn't bring myself to dunk my head – I kept my eyes on it. The bracing contrast of the blue and the white kept me going.If you, like me, have difficulty deciding between silver and gold tones, this Carrera DYes, it's Replica Richard Mille rm 029 a lot to spend on a quartz movement. Yes, I think this will be more suited to those who are looking for a fashion statement than a robust mechanical movement. But naysayers, step aside. The black dial, maxi lume plots, and the date window all work to form a well-proportioned timepiece. Of course, this is a purely aesthetic update and the watch continues to feature the Superlative Chronometer-rated 3235 caliber.Now if we look back at the first analog watch Braun made in 1989, it was, you guessed it, a lot smaller. The AW10 was a simple three-hander measuring 33m. It was actually created to reflect Dietrich Lubs and Dieter Rams vision of functionality and legibility.
