(In May Fake Watches UK 1999, Vendôme also took a majority share of Parisian jeweler Van Cleef & Arpels.)Following last year's release of the 62MAS re-issue SLA017, Seiko has announced a new re-issue diver based on a model they produced in the late 1960s. Called, in full, the 1968 Automatic Diver’s Re-creation Limited Edition: SLA025, I think we can just call it the SLA025 for short. The main story here is Seiko's use of a monoblock steel case and their 8L55 hi-beat movement to reinterpret the orginal.Currently the watch looks to be fitted on a matching steel and gold extendable bracelet. Although this is not an original Jaeger-LeCoultre bracelet, it’s a nice addition nonetheless, and it gives the watch a little extra presence on the wrist. While I’m not sure who this “PH” character is that presumably was this piece’s original owner, I can say with a great deal of confidence that they had excellent taste.Vacheron used to have a 37mm Overseas with an oddball date window at 9 o'clock – one of those design quirks brands would throw in to remind you it isn't the full-size version. That Overseas is gone from the lineup, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a revamped 37mm that stays true to the 41mm Overseas back in the collection soon. This would be the real sweet spot for so many wrists.For now, the 34.5mm Overseas makes an excellent addition to Vacheron Constantin's collection.
