ConstellationSome of you might know about my fascination for the Constellation, I own a few from the early 1950s till modern versions. So I
Breitling Navitimer am happy to see that someone brought in this beautiful gold Constellation. It is a NOS (New Old Stock) Omega Constellation with the original gold bracelet and its silver box.The use of sword hands and some dial features associated with the Big Pilot (the predecessor of which was used by the Luftwaffe in WWII) rather than the pure design elements of the Mark series remains a head-scratcher.It’s hard to decide which version of the T-Graph is the most desirable. Orange is iconic, and black has a serious military vibe, but there’s something about silver-dialed '60s chronographs that just works. Set against this sunburst dial, the massive orange hand and quirky sub-dial markings have an almost playful creativity to them. No room for an overladen hour chapter here! Ever-so low-key markers take to the stage hovered over by a pair of finely-tapered
replika Longines hands.FFine-tuning a cut, compensating balance was an art. The amount of compensation could be adjusted by moving the position of the screws on the rim, and fine-tuned by adding washers, or by reducing the size of the screw heads. At the same time, you had to be careful that the poise of the balance wasn't upset – heavy or light spots on the rim would upset precision, as well. With years of technical endeavors in automotive and sports industries under his belt, Jean-Christophe entered the watchmaking sector in 2002 as marketing and communications director of Baume et Mercier.
