After spending some time wearing this Triumph, I found that I really enjoyed link the way in which the somewhat more elaborate finishing of the case, bracelet, and dial furniture is juxtaposed by the uniform and functional base of the dial itself. While the format of the field watch makes this layering feel somewhat uncommon, it does have a distinctly mid-century feel that I might otherwise attribute to something like a vintage dress watch. link It's sporty, sure, but also just a link bit fancy.
