Eight years later, in 2013, this line was extended with new models in bright colors combining steel and a rotating bezel in red, black or blue, and wholly dedicated to diving thanks to its superior water resistance up to 300m.Red represents the stopwatch functions, including the hours and minutes.Danny Milton breaks down the two-tone taboo and explains the resurgence of the bi-color metal trend. While this '80s look is often discredited as looking very Miami Vice, I actually get down with that link look. Danny, Patrick Bateman, and myself are all aligned here.Kanazawa, means "marsh of gold," and you couldn't come up with a more poetic name for the birthplace of these dials. On that jet-black marshy surface, the gold enameling almost looks like applied markers and text. The fact that this is all done layer-by-layer, all by hand, on a curved and unforgiving surface goes to show how much of a master Isshu Tamura truly is. All the time data is still driven by the complex caliber imagined by the Irish watchmaker Stephen McDonnell, assembled using some 581 components. This hand-wound movement, beating at a rhythm of 18,000 vibrations an hour, delivers 72 hours’ autonomy to the watch. The link dusky-hued finished applied to the components and offering more contrast can be admired through the sapphire-crystal caseback.Of course, you can also ask authorized dealersThe Twinlock crown, "Tropic" crystal, and "Crown-Guard" also show up in advertisements to help explain why the Submariner is so robust. The partnership includes Aston Martin Lagonda and Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One Team. You'll see the Girard-Perregaux logo on the Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One Team car, of course, but you'll also see the watches on the wrists of the drivers as well. Sebastian Vettel wears his Laureato frequently. "To be honest, I don't even know if it's part of the contract," says Patrick Pruniaux, CEO of Girard-Perregaux. "I just want him to love the watch,"
