Much can be read about Derek Pratt, but to put it simply, he link was old school – making watches entirely by link hand, the same way that we now praise some of the biggest names in watchmaking for, before it was cool. Born in England and spending most of link his life in Switzerland, Pratt developed his own movements (oftentimes making every component, down to the screws, by hand) and was well known around the industry for his mastery of hand guillochéd dials – not dissimilar to Jürgensen's current CEO.

While we'll certainly have more as this story develops, the fact remains that you cannot separate Formula 1 from watches, link and while Rolex has had the bulk of the official limelight for more than a decade, it link would appear that LVMH link is looking to put a few of their brands on the podium.
