How to Get More FFXIV Gil Without Grinding

Getting more FFXIV Gil without grinding requires dedication, effort, and an understanding of the game’s economy. It can take a lot of time to make enough money from these activities but it can be worth the investment. These methods include reselling items from class quests, un-synced dungeons, FATEs, and investing in the Market Board.

Treasure Maps

Making Gil is an important part of the game and there are many ways to do so. Some methods are more time-consuming than others, but all of them require dedication and effort to make a steady flow of the game’s economy.

Treasure Maps are a great way to earn a little bit of Gil quickly. They then lead to a specific location where players must dig. This spawns hordes of trash enemies that must be killed to access the treasure chest’s loot. These rewards include a pinch of raw gil transfer limit ffxiv, Tomestones, and crafting materials.

Using Bicolor Gemstones to buy lesser items on the player Market Board and undercutting competitors is another solid method of earning some Gil. This is best done with a Gatherer or Crafter Job.

Tomestones of Poetics

The Tomestones of Poetics are a staple of the game’s economy, allowing players to earn past endgame gear for classes they’ve already leveled. 

The NPC Hismena, located in Rowena’s Center for Cultural Promotion, offers a far more profitable way to spend those Tomestones. The NPC sells Augmented Shire armor and other fun knick-knacks like minions and Orchestrion Rolls for 10 Tomestones each.  More experienced players can even profit further by undercutting other sellers on the Market Board. This involves placing a bid lower than the current seller’s listing.

Bicolor Gemstones

Most combat-oriented players make the most Gil in FFXIV, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t other methods that can generate significant amounts of cash.

One of the more underrated is Bicolor Gemstones, which can be a good source of Gil for those with the appropriate Job and leve allowance. Completing Treasure Maps in the Old Sharlayan zone, for instance, can passively accrue large sums of money for players who do so consistently.

Likewise, players can also complete Deep Dungeons like Palace of the Dead and Heaven-on-High, where they’ll get a chance to receive rare items that sell for a sizable amount on the Market Board. 

Daily Roulette

One of the most overlooked methods of making gil in FFXIV is doing Daily Roulettes. Despite being one of the game’s more tedious tasks, this method can yield a large amount of the currency over time.

These roulettes allow players to take part in a Frontline PvP map once a day and reward them with a combination of experience, Grand Company Seals, Cracked Anthoclusters, and capped tomestones. 

While putting up items on the Market Board can be profitable, the process is a lot more time-consuming than simply farming and selling raw materials like Topsoil to vendors. 

Stormblood’s Eureka and Shadowbringer’s Bosjan Southern Front

In FFXIV, making Gil is a necessity for most advanced players. While the game has numerous methods of gathering and crafting that can bring in a steady stream of in-game currency, these often come with high opportunity costs. 

Menders, for instance, are a major money pit that can easily cost thousands of Gil at a time just to fully repair a gear set. While this may be an efficient method of gil generation for players with a lot of spare cash lying around, it is not ideal for those on a tighter budget.
