"Helping The World DISCOVER THE WAY of LOVE!"
I'm researching cloud-based and traditional restaurant POS software and trying to understand which option is more practical for a growing restaurant business.
Cloud POS systems seem useful because they offer remote access to sales reports, centralized data, and easier management across multiple locations. Traditional POS systems may appeal to businesses that prefer local infrastructure or need certain operations to continue without an internet connection.
However, I'm unsure how these systems compare in terms of long-term costs, security, offline billing, hardware requirements, and maintenance.
For restaurant owners who have used either type of POS, what has your experience been like? Does cloud-based software genuinely make restaurant management easier, or can a traditional setup still be a better choice for certain businesses?
I'd especially like to hear about internet reliability, staff training, and the actual costs involved beyond the initial purchase.
