There are many reasons a couple may decide to have a dry wedding. In some religions, alcohol is not allowed, and for some couples sobriety may be a constant journey. Budgetary restrictions are another reason to pass on serving alcohol, or a couple just night not enjoy drinking and see no reason to have it be a part of their wedding day. Here are a few ways to make sure your dry wedding runs smoothly. dresses for prom

Since many guests expect alcohol at weddings, it usually helps to let guests know your celebration will not involve any alcoholic beverages. It is important to communicate just how dry your wedding is. For example, if you are having a dry wedding but don't mind if guests drink beforehand, that is very different from requesting that all guests arrive sober. If your venue has a detached bar, be sure to let guests know if you are comfortable with them popping over for a drink. Don't be scared to spell it out to your guests as this will make sure there is no confusion on the day itself. prom dresses and gowns

If you are worried about guests being uncomfortable with a dry wedding, opt to have a ceremony at a non-traditional time. Instead of a late night Saturday soiree, have a morning, brunch-style affair or cozy Sunday evening celebration. This will allow for a more intimate affair and may make it easier to find a venue. Because of the high demand for Saturday evening weddings, some venues have a minimum for alcohol sales during these peak times. prom gowns

Beer and wine can be quite boring! Why not wow your guests with some delicious non-alcoholic options to enjoy at the dry wedding? For a Fall wedding, have an apple cider bar with caramel sauces and cinnamon whipped cream. In the summer, have an infused lemonade station. Try rosemary, blueberry and green tea lemonades. To keep them cool, have raspberries, mint leaves and cucumber slices frozen into ice cubes. Instead of sugar, provide local honey as a sweetener.
