Drinking coffee could lower the risk of oral and throat cancer, according to researchers in Japan. A study of 40,000 participants concluded that those who drank one or more cups per day had half the risk, compared with people who did not drink coffee.
A study found says that drinking steaming-hot tea may cause cancer in the esophagus. Tea hotter than 160 degrees may somehow encourage the development of cancerous tumors in the throat, Iranian researchers found. Their advice? Let hot liquids cool at least four minutes.
