The shining bright celebrity faces did more than just boost the perceived "prestige" of the brand; it also helped the consumers connect with a product before the age of websites, blogs, and twitter. They could look at the box and immediately feel a bit of a connection although it was a superficial one. The internet became a successful marketing tool so quickly because of how effectively communication can be carried out. A chain of newsletters can make customers feel valued and informed while doing your business just as much service as you are providing. Facebook and Twitter both allow customers to contact your business directly and even immediately. The value of such interaction is so crucial that no business owner can earn money online with just a website or a blog.
