There is a five-color set of "Official Timekeeper" Seamasters that didn't seem to get much attention. Same goes for the very heritage-oriented Canopus/Sedna/Yellow gold Seamasters and Chronographs. There was even a three-color set of wild (and wildly expensive) split-second pocket watches.


The cases have a fully polished finish and feature a slightly domed sapphire crystal on top. The case back also has a subtle bevel and holds a flat sapphire crystal, which allows you to see the DUW 3001 automatic movement inside. The wire lugs hold on to the 17mm and 19mm black Horween leather straps, and the push-pull crown features a repliky Patek Philippe grippy texture, making it easy to manipulate.I joined them on the road for a couple of days in the stage-opening cars to follow the action and even enjoy the experience of co-piloting in a couple of special stages.Manta rays are one of the most instantly identifiable animals in the ocean; they've been around for over 20 million years, and there's still much about their life cycle and behavior that's not well understood. On the other end of the spectrum, Patek Philippe took a subtle approach with the date window for the Ellipse, nestling it quietly at 3 o'clock so it shows up enough but also blends in with the rest of the dial. But one thing is for sure: I'm grateful for the invention of the quickset date function, and my fingers are considerably happier, as well.
