This pair, taking their inspiration from historic pieces, flaunts the
Rolex Datejust same 39 mm-diameter, 11.Not even a month ago, I wrote an article about the new Speedmaster MoonSwatch 1965.I'd recommend you take a moment to study all the different decorative techniques that are present and visible on the dial of the Series 2. The screws are black polished, and the primary cut of the dial slopes inward, its edges embellished with anglage and visible interior/exterior angles. Turn the watch over and there's even more hand-finishing to peruse, including visible anglage on the various wheel spokes.Brand: TissotModel: PRXReference Number: T137.207.11.351.00 (ice blue); T137.207.33.021.00 (gold PVD) Diameter: 35mm (35mm lug-to-lug, 45mm to first bracelet link)Thickness: 11.3mmCase Material: Stainless steel; gold PVD-coated stainless steelDial Color: ice blue or gold with stamped tapisserie patternIndexes: AppliedLume: Super-LumiNovaWater Resistance: 100 metersStrap/Bracelet: Stainless steel (or PVD-coated) with triple folding clasp
This timepiece retains the original black cord design used to attach the watch to the wrist, while adding a touch of fine jewelry, as the flexible bracelet is now made of rose gold and lined with diamonds, as are the lugs and case. And now there's this watch. The Monoposto Chronograph is a three-register chronograph, with 30-minute and 12-hour totalizers (at nine and six o'clock, respectively), plus a running seconds register
repliky Tudor at three o'clock. Its stainless steel case is 43mm across and 14.8mm thick. This example has a fully blacked-out aluminum bezel insert, one of the iconic bezel variations dating back to the reference 1675. As a result, it has a monochromatic appearance that runs against the better-known colorful Pepsi variation. Now pivoting to the most affordable watch on this list, this rendition of the brand's signature DW-5000 series has received an upcycled twist. Released as part of G-SHOCK's 41st birthday bash, the G5600BG-1 is a part of the brand's efforts to be more sustainably minded in its manufacturing process.
When Doxa dropped the new Sub 250T GMT a month ago, it was met with near-universal
Longines La Grande Classique praise. Nine different dial options debuted, including the most famous Doxa colorways. We saw all of them in Geneva and had the opportunity to spend time with them at Fratello HQ. Today, I'll review these pieces and address the GMT hand.None of them stayed, and my quest for an even older Speedmaster was not yet finished.Using a lightweight alloy makes functional sense, as does the monochromatic look.On the outside is a railroad track to mark the individual minutes, printed on a black chapter ring, lending to that faded look. That contrast is more obvious on the lighter beige dial – which, to my surprise, became my standout favorite.
