ANAHEIM, Calif. Nike Free 5.0 Herre Sort . -- Even when the weary Anaheim Ducks were missing their best skater on the dangerous end of back-to-back games, Jonas Hiller managed to keep his incredible winning streak intact. Hiller made 22 saves in his 14th consecutive victory, and the steamrolling Ducks beat the Detroit Red Wings 1-0 Sunday night for their 17th victory in 18 games. Andrew Cogliano scored for the NHL-leading Ducks (35-8-5), who improved to 19-0-2 at home this season despite playing without injured scoring leader Ryan Getzlaf. All they needed was a second-period goal by Cogliano and 60 outstanding minutes from Hiller, who earned his third shutout of the year and the 19th of his career. "The win, thats what counts," Hiller said. "The other things are just something for yourself. ... Its nice to make a name for myself, but winning as a team is what its about." The Swiss Olympic team selection hasnt lost since Dec. 3, matching four other goalies for the second-longest winning streak in a single season in NHL history. His streak is the leagues longest in two decades, and trails only Gilles Gilberts 17-game run for Boston during the 1975-76 season. Hiller hadnt posted a shutout during the Ducks streak, and the Red Wings made him earn it all the way down to the frantic final minutes. "Our goalies have been amazing for us lately, especially Jonas," said Saku Koivu, whose pass set up Coglianos winning goal. "He made some key saves. The way hes been playing, hes give us some confidence. We know even if were not at our sharpest, were going to have a chance to win." The Ducks are just the fifth team in NHL history to win 17 games in an 18-game stretch, and their latest victory is their seventh straight since a loss at San Jose on Dec. 29. Anaheims powerful offence had scored at least four goals in each of its last six games, but didnt need more than Coglianos score to hold off the Red Wings. Petr Mrazek stopped 22 shots for the Red Wings in a rematch of last seasons first-round matchup in the Western Conference playoffs. Detroit won Game 7 at Honda Center last spring to eliminate second-seeded Anaheim, which has won just one playoff round since earning its only Stanley Cup title in 2007. Hiller was nearly matched by Mrazek, who got his first start since Dec. 23 after Jimmy Howard injured his hip while making 44 saves in Detroits win over Los Angeles on Saturday night. "We played good enough to win, but we couldnt find a way," Detroit captain Henrik Zetterberg said. "Mrazek played unbelievable in the net for us, and it was good to see him come in and play with that confidence. We got some opportunities on the power play, but couldnt score. Injuries happen, but we cant use that as an excuse. You have to deal with it." Getzlaf sat out for the Ducks after blocking a shot with his right foot during Saturdays win at Phoenix. X-rays on the captains foot were negative, and the absence of the NHLs fourth-leading scorer created mixed feelings for Detroit coach Mike Babcock, who will be Getzlafs coach for Canada at the Sochi Olympics next month. Detroit dropped to 2-2-0 on its five-game road trip, winning one of three in California. "Weve really competed hard in three of the first four games on the trip," Babcock said. "The reality is weve got to find a way to score. Our power play has got to be more dangerous." Detroit had more energy during a scoreless first period and again in the second, but Hiller was unbeatable. The Ducks went ahead after a Detroit turnover ended up with Koivu, who got the puck to Cogliano in front for his 15th goal, leaving him just three goals shy of his career high. Justin Abdelkader rang a shot off Hillers post with less than five minutes to play, but Hiller comfortably survived a Detroit power play in the final minutes and earned his 23rd victory. NOTES: Detroit played without veterans Daniel Alfredsson and Pavel Datsyuk. Alfredsson has missed two games with back spasms, while Datsyuk has missed four straight with a lower-body injury. ... Anaheim played its fourth straight game without D Bryan Allen, who has a lower-body injury. ... The Ducks stuck with Hiller instead of giving an NHL debut to John Gibson, the touted 20-year-old goalie prospect recently recalled from the AHL. Gibson was brought up from Norfolk to back up Hiller so Frederik Andersen could get playing time in the minors. The Vikings announced Thursday that Priefer will be one of seven holdovers from the previous staff, along with offensive line coach Jeff Davidson, wide receivers coach George Stewart and others. Norv Turner will mark his 30th year of coaching in the NFL as the offensive co-ordinator, as widely reported for weeks, and George Edwards will be the defensive co-ordinator.SANDY, Utah -- Steven Lenhart scored two goals in a four-minute span of the first half to lead the San Jose Earthquakes to a 2-1 victory over Real Salt Lake on Saturday night. The Earthquakes second victory in 15 road games this season moved them within three points of a playoff spot with four games remaining in the Major League Soccer regular season. "It was a big win for sure," San Jose coach Mark Watson said. "We knew we maybe had to be perfect, and win the rest of our games. I thought the effort and the commitment the players put in was fantastic." Real Salt Lake, which had won this seasons previous two meetings by shutout, got a goal from Javier Morales in the 19th minute. It was his eighth of the season and came during a flurry of scoring on an otherwise quiet night at the goal. Real Salt Lake remained tied for second place behind Seattle in the chase for the Supporters Shield, awarded to top team in the regular season. Still, it missed an opportunity to capitalize on a struggling Earthquakes team that won the Shield a season ago. Lenhart began the goal spurt when he headed in a cross from Cordell Cato in the 18th minute. After Morales equalizer, Lenhart beat goalkeeper Nick Rimanndo with another header, this time off a free kick from Shea Salinas. Nike Free Trainer 5.0 Herre. "I think he heads the ball harder than I shoot it," Salinas said of Lenhart, who recorded the sixth career multi-goal game of his career. "Its pretty impressive." Lenhart entered the night with two goals in 17 games and hadnt scored since July 27 against Portland. The forward followed each goal with an animated celebration that included a leap into the air and fist pump toward a section of the announced crowd of 20,504 - the fourth-largest in Rio Tinto Stadium history. Lenhart left to a chorus of boos when he was replaced at the beginning of stoppage time. San Jose, which ranks 16th in the league in scoring, tallied more than one goal for just the second time in seven games. Morales goal came on a corner kick from Kyle Beckerman. Salt Lake, which played without injured leading scorer Javier Morales (calf), had its three-game home winning streak snapped. Salt Lake tested the Earthquakes defence in the second half, but repeatedly failed to connect on crossing passes into the goal box. Robbie Findley and Chris Wingert each narrowly missed on shots that went wide left in the final 20 minutes. cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys Ray Ban Outlet Michael Kors Outlet Michael Kors Sale Cheap Michael Kors ' ' '
