This is a self-winding chronograph, and yet, you can't see any rotor through the caseback. That's because it's actually on the dial side of the movement. All told, aside from some rougher finishing on the edges of the hands that I noticed during macro photography, I think the ChronOris comes together well, feeling cohesive, nicely made, and rather fun to wear. While I like Web3 Health the simplicity of the three-hander format, it would be exciting to see Oris offer a true chronograph reissue of the original or one of the later versions that more directly inspired the dial design of this new ChronOris Date.Now, here's the icing on the cake: Since these are celebrating a 70th anniversary, Panerai is guaranteeing these watches for 70 years. They're only available at Panerai boutiques, and for that duration, you'll be able to bring them back to a Panerai boutique for service any time one is needed. There are, of course, all kinds of conditions to this that are outlined in the official paperwork that comes with each watch, but that's one heck of a warranty right there.We're talking about a 41.5mm by 12.7mm grade 5 titanium case with integrated titanium bracelet and 120 meters of water resistance, exquisitely-finished caliber LF270.01 micro-rotor movement with 72 hours of power reserve, and a beautiful gradient viridian green opaline dial.
