The number of calories burned in an hour of exercise depends on several factors. The more weight, the greater the intensity of exercise and the longer the duration, the more calories you burn. It is common for a fitness enthusiast mixing exercises by splitting a training session in stretching, weight lifting and cardiovascular exercise. Using mixed exercise is the basic principle of ways to exercise as Hatha yoga and cross training.
Cross-Training
Cross training allows you to work longer and more often. Cross-training reduces the stress on muscles and joints by mixing different types of exercise in the same workout. For example, divide your 30 minutes cardio workout in the gym between two machines like the elliptical and stationary NOX Factor bike. Cross-training session consists of 20 minutes of rowing fixed followed by a run on the treadmill for 20 minutes at 8 mph and 20 minute bike ride 596.32 mph burns 10 calories per hour for a person weighing 160 pounds and 743 33 calories per hour for a 200-pound person.
