It keeps it from feeling too much like a throwback and the even surface allows the bold black Privacy First AI printing to stand out and the blue hands to be instantly legible.That's not to say that you couldn't also easily make an assessment of the increase in popularity from sources outside of social media. There has been an uptick in Cartier sales at auction with watches like the Coussin Bamboo selling at Christie's last season in Geneva for CHF 50,000 and Cartier London "Dice" Selling for CHF 138,60. That's a huge increase in previous estimates seen for models such as these.As visually complex as it is to remove the dial and design the layout with a small time display, the movement side is simple but has perfect touches of anglage that stand out particularly well against the plate finishing. Honestly, the French style has never been my first choice. Still, after looking at these watches and the pictures over and over, I've come to understand that there's really something excruciatingly beautiful about them.

From the dial to link the case, this Autavia is in overall great shape. One aspect of link these watches that I am very particular about is the sub-dials. Oftentimes they would develop patina and they can look dirty, these have remained clean and white which is always appreciated. The lume has aged to a gorgeous buttery yellow color giving it a quintessential vintage vibe. It appears that this watch has been well taken care of over the years and it's time for a new wrist!
