"Helping The World DISCOVER THE WAY of LOVE!"
A short break from our busy corporate routine was exactly what we needed last month in November. With a 3-day weekend on hand, our group of nine friends decided to escape to the peaceful and scenic mountains of Chopta in Uttarakhand. Known as the “Mini Switzerland of India,” Chopta is a Himalayan paradise famous for trekking, adventure, and picture-perfect landscapes. To make our travel comfortable and stress-free, we booked a Tempo Traveller on hire in Delhi from SKTC, which made our journey smooth, relaxed, and enjoyable.
A Comfortable Start from Delhi
Travelling as a group becomes more fun when everyone can sit, chat, play music, and enjoy the journey together. The Tempo Traveller provided by SKTC was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with comfortable seats, ample legroom, and plenty of space for luggage. The experienced driver ensured a safe and pleasant drive, even on hilly terrains. This comfortable ride played a big role in making the trip memorable right from the start.
Exploring Chopta – The Heart of Uttarakhand’s Natural Beauty
Chopta welcomed us with fresh mountain air, dense forests, and lush meadows (Bugyals) spread across the landscape. Surrounded by the majestic Himalayas, the destination is perfect for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts.
We started exploring Chopta by visiting its peaceful meadows, capturing scenic views, and enjoying the calm environment. The region is home to rich biodiversity and the famous Musk Deer Sanctuary, where lucky visitors can spot rare Himalayan wildlife.
Trek to Tungnath, Chandrashila & Deoria Tal
No Chopta trip is complete without trekking, and we were excited to explore some of the most popular trails:
Tungnath Trek
Known for hosting the world’s highest Shiva temple, the Tungnath trek offered breathtaking views and spiritual vibes. The scenic route, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, made the trek unforgettable.
Chandrashila Summit
From Tungnath, some of us continued towards the Chandrashila peak. The summit rewarded us with panoramic 360-degree views of Nanda Devi, Trishul, and Chaukhamba peaks.
Deoria Tal
A peaceful lake located amidst dense forests, Deoria Tal reflected the Himalayan ranges on its crystal-clear waters. It was one of the most serene moments of our trip.
Adventure Activities That Added Thrill
Chopta is a dream destination for thrill-seekers. We enjoyed activities like:
Rock climbing
Abseiling
Motorbiking trails
Bird watching
Camping under the stars
Spending a night at the campsite, sitting around a bonfire, sharing stories, and gazing at the starlit sky added magic to our adventure.
A Trip Full of Memories
Our 3-day Chopta trip turned out to be an unforgettable experience filled with adventure, bonding, and breathtaking natural beauty. From trekking and camping to relaxing and exploring, every moment felt special. The convenience of travelling together in the SKTC Tempo Traveller hire in Delhi made the journey even better. If you’re planning a refreshing weekend getaway, Chopta is a destination you should not miss.
