With gasoline vehicle VW case: diagnosis procedure setting method

Basic setting method and steps
① Turn on ignition switch and not start engine.(Take Santana 3000 as an example to illustrate matching process)
②Connect F3-D truck scanner (use OBD-II connector), select and click VW Audi, the screen will display as below:

③ Click V7.2(note: high version of software fully compatible to low version of software, if software version not high enough,
 pls upgrade timely),the screen shows as below

④ After open V7.2,the screen shows as below：

⑦ Click 01-engine,then screen will show as below：

⑧ First read engine DTC, after confirming no DTC, click 04-basic setting and the screen will show as below：              

⑨After enter Channel No.060 in input box, click Confirm then screen shown below
(Note: Item 4 shows Adaptive running means throttle and engine computer are matching,
 when it finished, it will shows Adaptive finished)

After matching finished, press Back button to logout and then turn off ignition switch. 
Then turn on ignition switch and start engine to verify the matching effect.

⑩ If prompt error in the process of matching, mainly because of the following several reasons：

　●Channel No. input error, pls see the last content of this book to choose the appropriate channel No..

    ●This vehicle without this function: If match SANTANA Gli, this vehicle originally cannot be matched with scanner

　●Throttle control unit or wire damage

　●Engine at running state, pls flameout, turn on ignition swtich

　●Throttle not reach idle stop(Carbon deposit or throttle cable adjustment improper)
　 ●Battery voltage too low;
　 ●Throttle control unit or wire damage;
　 ●Throttle stuck;
　 ●Starting engine or step on accelerator pedal during adaptive.

　A⑾ After matching interruption, fault”17967”or “17973”will be saved in fault memory. Next time when turn on ignition switch, 
it will automatically perform basic setting.
For Example: Throttle basic setting of Jetta CiX(duel valve)

Notes: After cleaning, adjusting and replacing throttle body; to realize kickdown function of automatic transmission, 
you need to perform engine computer matching as well as automatic transmission matching; Matching method as below:

Connect to Fcar F3

1. Connect with Fcar

2. Turn on ignition switch, select “02 automatic transmission”

3. Read and clear DTC, and ensure no DTC saved in control unit;

4. Don’t touch engine accelerator pedal;

5. Select"04 basic setting"

6. Input channel No. "000" to confirm;

7. Step on accelerator pedal to floor and keep 3 seconds;

8. Logout, and release accelerator pedal.

Note: For some new VW/Audi vehicles, the channel cannot be used when enter into automatic transmission control system. 

Here must perform adjustment setting in "01-engine control system ", its channel No. is"063".

Adaptive of throttle and automatic transmission computer is maily the above 2 methods.
