"Helping The World DISCOVER THE WAY of LOVE!"
Executive function, the ability to plan, focus, and manage oneself, is often treated as something children develop through formal teaching. In reality, it grows through ordinary, repeated moments. Getting dressed. Packing a school bag. Waiting a beat before jumping in to help. At Total Communication, we see this daily in our work with children and families. The habits that build strong self-regulation and planning skills are rarely dramatic. They're small, consistent, and easy to build into a normal routine. We've put together five of them, shaped by what actually works in practice, not theory. Which one do you already do without realising it? Let us know in the comments.
