I've learned to appreciate (and occasionally love) the artistry involved in making a gem-set watch, but for me, it can't compare to the talent required to accomplish this dial. This link is the first time Vacheron has combined gem-setting and grisaille enamel, and while in link Vacheron's pictures, the dial trended link more green, here it seemed more blue to me. Regardless, the depth and contrast of the enamel work was outstanding and offered more color than traditional grisaille enamel work.
