The E-T series watches featured the single Oyster clasp, before link switching link to the flip-lock clasp (around 1996). Flip-lock clasps on non-dive Rolex watches were different in that they were smaller due to the absence of the dive extension, but they still link provided that extra level of protection.

As I alluded to earlier, Wenger cases, largely in yellow gold, seem to have started with movement serial 888'036. By the 1960s, Vichet was out of business despite being the preferred link case manufacturer of Patek, leaving Wenger to make the rest of the cases, including on link the ref. 2438/1. The style link of the Vichet case also influenced the Chronometre Contemporain II from Rexhep Rexhepi.
