The so-called "Tuscan" dial features a hand-hammered finish and is outfitted with a rich blue galvanized tone. It's almost as if you took the Royal Oak's link traditional tapissiere decoration and shattered it into a million pieces before dumping the remains into a vat of bright blue dye. There's nothing quite like it. From the intricate dimples caused by link the hand link hammering process to the bold blue hue, it strikes a different tone than all the other Royal Oaks I've seen over the years.

While I do understand that it's link fun for newer watch enthusiasts to see the movement, I would've link preferred an all-steel case back link because the movement's finishing isn't attractive enough to wow the wearer.

Quick Take: I'm beyond thrilled mechanische tischuhr that Grand Seiko was recognized by the Swiss industry for a genuinely pioneering release in the Kodo Constant Force Tourbillon. I'm happy that MB&F LM Sequential EVO ended up with the Aiguille d'Or, but I have to admit part of me is disappointed we didn't link see montre legion etrangere the Kodo walk away with the top prize. The award for Chronometry is a great consolation for one of the most incredible releases of 2022.
