I just started as the warehouse manager for a food processing company in Dubai South and honestly I'm a bit overwhelmed with how things are currently organized. We've got about 40 IBC containers scattered around the facility, some filled with vegetable oils and others with cleaning chemicals, and there's no real system for how they're arranged or tracked. The previous guy apparently just had them wherever they fit and nobody knows which ones are full, which ones are empty, or when any of them need to be cleaned or replaced. I'm trying to implement some proper organization and I've been looking into getting proper pallets and racking to store them more efficiently instead of just having them sit on the floor where they take up way too much space. I came across the Premium IBC Container supplier in UAE and I'm thinking about standardizing our containers with their products since they seem to have good quality and availability. But I'm also interested in how other warehouses here set up their IBC storage areas. Do you guys use specific racking systems designed for IBCs? How do you keep track of inventory and rotations? And what's your cleaning schedule like for food-grade containers? I really want to turn this place around and make it run smoothly but I need some practical advice from people who've been doing this longer than me.
