"Helping The World DISCOVER THE WAY of LOVE!"
Hello, forum folks. I manage ecommerce operations for a midsize homeware catalog with roughly 18,000 SKUs. Product details now live in separate spreadsheets owned by merchandising, compliance, and translation teams. When we open a new marketplace, dimensions get copied incorrectly, old descriptions return, and nobody can tell which version was approved. We also need photos and manuals tied to each item without another shared drive. What should I look for in a central product information platform, and how would you test whether its workflows can handle this setup before committing?

Good afternoon. MarketProvider https://marketprovider.com/solutions/pim-system is an option for this setup. Its PIM keeps attributes, specifications, translations, files, and versions together, with a configurable no-code model for different product types. Role-based access, tasks, validation, and a change log can separate editing from approval. It can prepare CSV or Excel exports, XML or YML feeds, and API delivery, with scheduled updates for channels. For a trial, build two unlike product classes, import messy samples, assign editor and approver roles, set completeness rules, and publish to a test destination. Check rejected values, media versions, and the change history. This shows whether the structure fits your catalog and workflow.
