Pregnancy diabetes
1.4 percent of all pregnant women develop diabetes, partly because of some of the hormones of pregnancy increase blood sugar. Svangskapsdiabetes with pregnancy have a slightly higher risk of miscarriage and pre-eclampsia. Fetus also slightly elevated risk of birth defects (brain and central nervous system, kidneys and urinary tract) and the maturation of devices may be delayed.
