Cinture Louis Vuitton Arrest made in Soledad double

Soledad Police Chief Eric Sills said his officers arrested a 19 year old Soledad man on Wednesday in connection to a double homicide.

On Sept. at 2443 H. De La Rosa St. in Soledad when a gunman opened fire on the family.

Their 19 year old son was transported to a local hospital and survived after undergoingsurgery. Wednesday, Greenfield Soledad police officers were conducting a probation search on the 400 block of San Diego Place in Soledad when they found a gold car that matched the description of the double homicide getaway car.

Officers found the owner of the 1996 Volkswagen Jetta, Jorge Angel Rodriguez, and arrested him for probation violation.

"Distinctive markings found on suspect Rodriguez's Jetta on today's date were compared to marks seen on video surveillance of the suspect vehicle used in the double homicide," Sills said. "After close examination, it was determined that the markings on the vehicle seen in the video were identical to those found on suspect Rodriguez's vehicle."

Rodriguez was booked into the Monterey County Jail on suspicion of murder.
