Birkenstocks For Plantar Fasciitis

A couple of years ago I had a run in with Plantar Fasciitis which is a painful condition where your heel hurts pretty darn bad. Childbirth was less painful than this! OK, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit. Needless to say this conditon rears its ugly head during middle age or in people who stand a lot. I'm going to claim it was the latter!

I really resisted getting medical care and a friend said try Birkenstocks.

When I first thought about Birkenstocks I pictured a 1970's hipster at Woodstock. My 80's girl self was resistant to try something other than Converse and Doc Martens.

However pain won so I thought that it couldn't hurt so I set aside my Converse All Stars (which are still really comfortable) and picked out the three strap Birkenstocks. As soon as I got this shoe I was Nike Air Max 2016 Leather Mens Shoes Black Orange sold.

Birkenstocks need a break in period.

Like any fine leather Birkenstocks need some break in time in order for your foot to conform to the cork. They are not uncomfortable at all during this time which is awesome, they just get more comfortable after you wear them for a few months.

The only sandal I'll ever wear.

I'm not a medical professional nor do I play one on TV but I swear these shoes helped me eradicate the evil Plantar Fasciitis from my life. I spend the entire Summer in these sandals. I have three broken in pairs and wear them in the house during the Winter too. I tried going out in the snow but it was a no go, I nearly slipped and fell, big mistake.

So if you have foot problems and want to look cool in the Summer do Nike Free Shoes Womens consider a pair.

My mom and several sisters swear by these. Guess I should give in and get a pair. They actually would be more stylish than the rubber clogs I've been wearing. No shoes are comfortable for me anymore with my wide foot and narrow heel.

I went several rounds with plantar fasciitis and know how painful it is. Don't want it again.

I once bought them for a similar reason and wore them for years of comfort.

But you would be Air Max 2016 Black Red great on TV as a medical doctor, I bet. ; ) Great review. I'm sold. I know all about heel pain. Life is too short not to invest in shoes that put pain in its place. I enjoyed your writing voice as presented here.

When I still worked in the public, I wore high heels all day. I was really having trouble with my left foot, with burning pain that was unbearable. It seemed to feel better when I put my foot flat on the floor. I had no idea what it was until a doctor told me it was plantar fasciitis. I don't have so much trouble now, since I'm working from home and don't wear heels, but I never thought about the Birkenstocks. Good idea, and thanks!

So glad they worked for you. I've tried several times to wear Birkenstocks and, sadly, failed each time, but throughout my lifetime, everyone I have known who owned them, and they are legion, has sworn by them. Guess my feet are just a little weird. So glad they solved your problem. That is painful I know!

I had one pair of those Birkenstocks too and I was very comfortable in them. Need to buy another pair. Thanks a lot for the reminder.:)

I loved my Birkenstocks. The only drawback was my boyfriend (at the time) said they look like sandals Peppermint Patty would wear. So, I got rid of the boyfriend and my feet felt instantly better.

I must say, they DO have nicer ones now (mine had two big straps); yours have three and look cuter. I also like that Habana styled pair you showcase.

Birkenstocks have been my favorite sandals for many years. I only wish they made boots and closed in shoes so that I could wear them outside all year round. I broke my leg/ankle a few years ago and my physio therapist recommended that I wear these for support.
