17 indicted in Mahoning County burglary ring

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WYTV) defendants will be in court on Tuesday for their roles in what law enforcement officialssaid was a burglary and drug ring that had been going on for months.

Officials from the Mahoning Valley Law Enforcement Task Force and Mahoning County Prosecutor Office held a news conference Friday to announce the secret indictments of the suspects. They are facing a total of more than two dozencharges, including trafficking in marijuana, theft, breaking and entering, receiving stolen property, burglary, robbery, money laundering, assault and weapons chargesfor a series of house and car break ins in the Poland and Springfield areas.

July 17, the task forcesearched a home at 4182 E. Calla Road in Springfield, where they found stolen property, guns, money and a small amount of drugs. The house is the listed address for defendants Michael Lucicosky and Eric Lucicosky, according to the indictment.

Task force members were able to make connections that led to the indictments in about a week. Commander Jeff Solic said other cases could be handled just as quickly if they had more available resources.
