Egg Whites: From Brunch to Bounce!

Egg whites are not only good snacks to eat; they also provide full nutrition and shine to our tresses. Depending on your hair length, mix at least three to at most six egg whites with three pumps of your favorite conditioner. Let it steam-soak over your head for around 15 minutes. Outrageous Oils: Olive and Coconut oils

Not only used for cooking, these oils do great wonders to your hair. On one hand, olive oil naturally brings back the essential oils originally produced by the scalp as natural supplements to the hair. These essential oils are stripped away from the scalp by harsh chemical treatments, shampoos and conditioners. To use olive oil as replenishment, apply it topically to your scalp before shampooing, leaving it on for around 20-30 minutes before proceeding to your normal wash-and-dry routine. Use extra virgin oil for best results.

On the other hand, pure coconut oil provides great coverage for your locks as well. Coconut oil contains essential compounds, as well as polyunsaturated fatty acids which penetrate through the hair shaft, and in turn deeply hydrates your hair. Also found in local health food stores, coconut oil contains phytochemicals; antioxidants that help rejuvenate and prevent your tresses from breakage. It is also a good product to use to help prevent dandruff! To use, apply topically onto the scalp, especially on parts of the hair that are drier than the rest, and leave for at least 20-30 minutes.

More than all these, one must remember that the key to a healthy mane is healthy scalp. Prevention always beats numerous attempts to cure. Pay attention to your scalp as this makes or breaks the look of your tresses. First of all, make it a point to maintain a healthy diet. Ensure that the shampoo and conditioner that you use contain less chemicals (prefer organic ones as much as possible), and opt for those that contain eucalyptus, peppermint oil, and menthol, as these nutrients help stimulate your scalp.
