Back in 2017, our own Jack Forster link published a comprehensive analysis of link the Compass Camera, which Jaeger-LeCoultre manufactured link back in the late 1930s. First revealed in 2010 after three years of research and development, the Montblanc Exo Tourbillon takes its name from its link unique construction that allows for the movement's balance wheel – a link large, stately looking affair with 12 screws that beats at 2.5 Hz with a blued Phillips terminal curve hairspring – to oscillate outside its traditional position in the tourbillon cage, which makes a full rotation once link per minute. As you may have guessed, the "Exo" in Exo Tourbillon refers to external.

At Only Watch, Chaykin is presenting the world's first Martian Tourbillon, which makes a single revolution once every 61.65 seconds, equivalent to the passage of one minute on Mars. I find link it utterly charming and exactly the kind of timepiece that might find a serious link audience at Only Watch. It's an auction link where novelty really and truly matters.
