The one big problem I have had with the Lunarglide Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse uk sale 5 is abrasion and blistering along the inner ball of my right foot behind my big toe. I¡¯m almost certain the reason for this is the soft midsole. I tend to pronate a bit more on my right side, and a soft midsole under the medial forefoot will cave as I reach max pronation. This can lead to excessive movement of foot relative to shoe in this area. I have similar issues in the Nike Pegasus, and in some models of Nike Free. Also had issues with the original Skechers GoRun. It seems to happen only in shoes with a soft medial forefoot that doesn¡¯t provide a stable base. I don¡¯t get it on my left side where I pronate less (I¡¯ve had this asymmetry confirmed in a 3D gait lab), and I don¡¯t tend to get it in firmer shoes. The blistering issue is significant enough for me that these will likely not get much use from me for running after writing this review, but I want to clearly emphasize that this is likely an issue resulting from a bad match between my own form and the shoe. If you don¡¯t tend to get calluses/blisters on the balls of your feet, the Lunarglide 5¡¯s may be fine.
The above being said, my overall feelings about this shoe are actually quite positive when it is placed in its proper context. I have long been a fan of the Nike Free line, and the original Fre Nike Air Max 90 Lunar uk online e 3.0 was actually the shoe that started me on my journey toward more minimalist running shoes. Part of my frustration when the Free Run+ was released was that it seemed like the Free 3.0 had been discontinued, which it apparently was not since it can still be purchased at various places (like Running Warehouse) ¨C whether or not the Free 3.0 was resurrected with the emergence of the minimalist movement, or whether it never actually went away is a question for which I¡¯d love an answer. Anyway, given that the Free 3.0 is still around, the Free Run+ has a definite place as a transitional minimalist shoe ¨C I¡¯d classify it as a gateway shoe to minimalism in the same vein as I defined the category in my review of the Saucony Kinvara. The Kinvara and the Free Run+ are both very popular shoes right now, and for many, one of these will likely be the shoe that encourages them to move toward more and more minimal options (much as the Free 3.0 served this purpose for me). Given this, the remainder of my review below will be largely written in light of my view of the role that this shoe fills ¨C a transitional shoe for those heading toward more minimalist designs, or even an end of the line shoe for those wanting a bit less shoe who might not want to go too extreme in that direction.
All in all, I¡¯m quite impressed with the Free 3.0 v5. It¡¯s one of the best shoes I¡¯ve worn so far this year, and a pleasant surprise given my experience with the previous iteration. Big thumbs up!
The remainder of the upper is soft and flexible, and the interior is super comfortable and suitable for sockless wear. The laces are slightly offset to the side, and loop through flywire bands that help to lock the middle of the foot down. The mesh over the forefoot has a bit of give/stretch ¨C very nice.Overall, I¡¯d go so far as to say that the Free 5.0 is the most comfortable shoe I have worn this year. I¡¯m having a hard time keeping them off my feet!
If you like a flexible shoe that runs super quiet and feels like a slipper then these are definitely worth a look. And if they don¡¯t work out as a running shoe for you, you have a comfortable shoe that will serve very well for walkin uk Trainers Nike Air Max 1 Womens g around town. And if you don¡¯t want them for casual wear, they retain value as well as any shoe out there and can be sold on Ebay for close to purchase price even with a few runs on them (did this a few years ago with the Free 3.0 v4).
In addition to running in them, I¡¯ve also found the Free 4.0 Flyknit to be a fantastic casual shoe. I bought a pair in black since I like to have a few conservative looking shoes for casual wear, and I¡¯m typicall Nike Air Max 2014 Mens uk Trainers y sockless in them while walking around. They are amazingly comfortable.
