What's the difference and where can I get it done properly?

Good morning! I'm new to NYC and trying to find a good place for manicures and pedicures. Back home I used to get what they called European manicure, but I keep hearing about this Russian technique. What's the difference and where can I get it done properly?

Welcome to the city! So the Russian technique is pretty different from European - it's much more precise and thorough. Instead of cutting cuticles, they use special electric files to gently remove dead skin around the nail bed, which actually makes your manicure last way longer and looks super clean. If you want to try authentic russian manicure done right, I'd recommend M. STUDIO in Midtown. All their technicians are licensed and trained specifically in this method - some have like 8-10 years of experience. They use professional materials from Gloss, Komilfo, and even Swarovski crystals for designs. The cool thing is they offer both manicure and pedicure services, so you can get everything done in one visit. They also have this speedy version if you're short on time. Book online through their website, it's super easy!
