With all these lab-grown gemstones flooding the market

With all these lab-grown gemstones flooding the market, I'm worried about making a bad investment. Why should I still consider natural gemstones? Are they really more valuable long-term?

Totally valid concern in today's market! Check out this article about natural gemstones and why they're actually gaining value. Here's the thing: lab-grown stones are getting better technically, but they lack the fundamental scarcity that drives long-term value. Natural gemstones took millions of years to form and exist in finite quantities - that's irreplaceable. Lab stones can be produced indefinitely, which means their prices will likely decrease as technology improves. For investment and collecting, natural stones maintain better value retention, are more liquid in secondary markets, and carry historical and emotional significance that synthetics simply can't replicate. Plus, certified natural stones from reputable sources have strong resale value and are preferred at auctions. If you're buying for investment rather than just fashion jewelry, natural is definitely the way to go.
