Brake shudder on my Sport, is this a common thing?

So I've got a 2016 Range Rover Sport and over the last few weeks I've noticed this annoying vibration through the steering wheel when I brake from around 100km/h down to about 60km/h. It's not super violent but it's definitely there and it's starting to do my head in on the highway. I'm guessing it's either warped rotors or maybe just uneven pad deposits from all the stop-start driving in the city heat. Before I go and throw money at it, has anyone else dealt with this on their L322 or L494? I was reading up on potential causes and found a page about Dubai Land Rover brake pad repair experts that mentioned how important it is to bed in new pads properly on these heavier cars, otherwise you end up with exactly this problem. Might give them a call to see if they can do a quick inspection and resurface the discs if needed, rather than just swapping everything out blindly.
