"Helping The World DISCOVER THE WAY of LOVE!"

Many times a date can start out perfectly fine and no one would expect that it would turn into a nightmare, but it has happened and many times people get traumatized, hurt and The Language Of Lust even killed. Sometimes it only takes one word or a sarcastic remark to set it off. Other times it builds over a period of hours till finally a person feels unable to endure the tension of being rejected in some form any longer and erupts in a fit of hostile anger.

In the improbable event that you or one of your friends becomes a victim of dating violence, there are certain steps that you can take to resolve the problem. Dating violence falls into three main categories, which include emotional, physical and sexual violence. Understanding the difference between the three is vitally important, and what you can do in each one of the situations.

In the case with physical violence, actual striking is involved. It can also include shoving, pushing and slapping around as well. Occasionally, in the event that a man slaps a woman, she may not call that abuse, but the fact still remains, it is definitely physical abuse. No one deserves to be pushed, shoved, slapped, or had things thrown at them. Most often, abuse starts with one of the companions bursting out with a small shove or push. Then it escalates from there. Someone who is being physically abused usually shows signs of it and gives things away by offering rationalizing statements like, "It was only a small push," or "Oh, it was only a slap." In case you or a friend of yours is going through this, then you need to get out of that situation as quickly as possible.

Emotional abuse comes into the picture when one of the partners or even both start shouting and calling each other bad names with an assortment of foul language. If they start intimidating you like a bully and make you feel devastated before the public, then that is a form of emotional abuse that is taking shape. If anyone makes the obnoxious claim that you deserve to be yelled at or called demeaning names, then that is emotional abuse. If the truth be told, as far as moral issues are concerned, no one deserves to be treated that way. This is a part of dating violence that happens more than you would think, but it is still unacceptable, so don't be fooled if your partner tries to mend the damage and cheer you up the next day by buying you presents and being unusually nice to you in a momentary approach.

Dating violence of the worst sort is sexual abuse. This is when your companion tries to force you to kiss him or her or do anything else without your consent. Remember, if you are drunk and someone tries to touch you or kiss you, that is also abuse because you are not aware of what's going on in order to give your consent. It is best to keep yourself sober, or produce a responsible friend who can keep a watchful eye on what's going on.

If you would like to be able to tell whether you are a victim of dating violence or not, then you might want to check to see if your partner is making a habit of keeping tabs on your every move, where you're at and what you've been up to. If he gets possessive and upset because you haven't called him several times a day for instance, then that can also be classified as abuse. Take all these things into consideration when evaluating the possibility of dating violence.
