TRU Chocolate is, also, "certified organic" (without pesticides and toxic chemicals), and formulated out of the outer Peruvian Cocoa fruit, and not the unhealthy inner part of the pod, the powdered cocoa seeds. Natives of Peru eat the fruit which is highly beneficial for health, and will not eat the powdered cocoa seeds we are accustomed to eating as chocolate.
